Training camp 2016.
Last weekend was the annual training camp hosted by Nippon Dai Budo Kai.
I didn't really know what to expect as it was my first, but I had an amazing weekend. The training sessions were awesome — Saturday saw some gradings being taken which were great to watch, demos and workshops where we all just got together and tried a bit of everything.
It was awesome to get the chance to try out other martial arts and meet the people from the clubs close to mine.
We had the likes of kickboxing, jiu jitsu, gengitsu, and loads more amazing stuff to watch and try out. On Sunday I got the chance to try out using a kubotan — I'd been dying to get stuck in with one of those for a while as I got one from the Budo Brothers online store (which is well worth checking out — I also got a hanbo which I'll be posting about soon!).
I'm covered in bruises (and my head's still a little sore from the drinking...) but it was such a great experience. I've been home three days and I'm still buzzing from it!
